you must buy: jo malone cologne

If it isn't already painfully obvious, I've suddenly become obsessed with fragrance. I'm hitting up department store counters for free vials of everything -- old classics like Guerlain's Shalimar, fruity floral teen favorites like Juicy Couture's Viva La Juicy!, mega-sellers like Thierry Muglar's Angel, and boutique stuff like Histoires de Parfum's 1826.

I never realized how much I liked spicy scents, or how well hey could be done. Patchouli, vanilla, cardamom, musk, mandarin... Mmm. Unfortunately, those notes are much better suited for sweater and scarf weather and I need something now, for summer.

I think I've found it - Jo Malone Cologne. I'm in love. It's subtle and light and clean. Just perfect for staying fresh on hot sticky afternoons. Diamond once complained that perfume was offensive and unprofessional, but I think even he would approve.

I'm still trying to decide which is my favorite and worth the investment. I'm leaning toward mostly citrus scents:
And I'm trying my best to resist Dark Amber & Ginger Lily and Pomegranate Noir as they're both too spicy for what I want but they're still amaazing.

pomegranate noir sounds sinful. you should go for it.

also, my mom has the jo malone fragrance mixing set, and it's fun to play with--plus there's no way you can mess up and overdo it and end up smelling like a yankee candle store.

I'm a new fan of Gold Digger and a scent enthusiast -looking forward to seeing where this fragrance obsession takes you. Have you checked out theperfumedcourt.com? They sell decant sampler packs by experience level, house, and perfume notes. I am still dipping into the vials I got for Xmas.

Hope this puts a stop to relatives always bringing me the same old Gaultier's and Calvin Klein's...
